Facundo Jorro Barón is a doctor from the National University of Cuyo (2001), he is a specialist in Pediatric Intensive Care from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), with Pediatric residencies at the Pedro de Elizalde General Children's Hospital (HGNPE) and specialization in Pediatric Intensive Care at the JP Garrahan Hospital and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires.
Candidate for Master in Clinical Effectiveness from the UBA, diploma in Advancing Healthcare Quality and Safety from the IECS and the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), improvement coach from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), graduate of the fourth school of Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases implementation sciences.
He is consulting secretary of the Emergency and Critical Care Committee of the Argentine Society of Pediatrics (SAP), President of the Argentine Congress of Pediatric Emergencies and Critical Care, and of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Emergencies in 2023.
Currently, he works as a staff doctor of the Pediatric Intensive Care of the HGNPE and coordinator of the Pediatric Intensive Therapy of the Trinidad Miter Sanatorium, in Buenos Aires, and as a researcher of the Department of Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Management of the IECS.
He is the author of scientific works on patient quality and safety, effective communication, alterations of the internal environment and mechanical respiratory assistance. He is an expert in research on the implementation of quality improvements in health with a special focus on the development of collaborative initiatives. Member of the work team and IHI Faculty for the Saint Jude collaborative initiative "Golden Hour: minutes that save lives" for the pediatric oncopatient population of LATAM, Comfort promise and Practice Improvement Course
