Ezequiel García Elorrio is a doctor specialized in Internal Medicine and a master of science in Epidemiology from Harvard University, as well as a master's degree in Business Administration from the Austral University of Buenos Aires. His education was supported by the WKKellogg Foundation of the United States.
Currently, he serves as director of the Department of Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Management of the IECS, where he leads a research group focused on improving healthcare practices and services in Latin America. In addition, he is a professor of Public Health at the CEMIC Faculty of Medicine, a professor at the UBA School of Public Health and a member of the board of directors of the UBA Master's Degree in Clinical Effectiveness.
With extensive experience and recognition in quality and patient safety, Ezequiel has worked on projects funded by various institutions, including the World Health Organization, the Agency for International Development, the Mapfre Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has been associate editor of the International Journal for Quality in Health Care and played important roles in international initiatives such as CLICSS and ISQua.
In addition to his work at the IECS, he has collaborated as a consultant in different organizations and countries, bringing his knowledge and experience in clinical management and quality improvements to hospitals and health entities in Argentina and throughout Latin America.
