Federico Augustovski is a doctor with an honors degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and a master of science in Epidemiology from the Harvard University School of Public Health. He has also undertaken postgraduate courses and research in economic evaluations and decision sciences at renowned international centres.
Currently, he works as director of the Department of Health Technology Assessment and Health Economics of the IECS, associate professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the UBA and principal investigator of CONICET of Argentina. Additionally, he leads the WHO/PAHO Collaborating Center for Health Technology Assessment of the IECS.
Federico Augustovski is recognized internationally, having been elected president of The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and founder of the ISPOR Latin American Consortium. With more than 100 publications indexed in Medline, his research has focused on the evaluation of health technologies and studies of health-related quality of life in several Latin American countries, leaving a significant impact in the field of public health and health decision making.
