Promoting Professional Development in Health

The commitment of the Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) to the training of health professionals in the region was highlighted, once again this year, with the opening of its calls during 2023 for research and training scholarships for the 2024.

Since 2005 we have offered research training scholarships, giving professionals from different academic branches the opportunity to join as a scholarship holder in one of the departments or centers of the IECS, dedicating full or part time to research, teaching and/or cooperation projects. technique, while pursuing the Master's Degree in Clinical Effectiveness.

In 2023, 4 calls were opened:

  • Research training grant in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Health Economics and Systematic Reviews
  • Research training scholarship in Chronic Diseases
  • Research training scholarship in Health Economics
  • Training scholarship in implementation and research in health programs and policies

And the people selected were: Lina Merlotti, Christian Gimenez, Federico Rolón and Lucía Bartolomeu.

In addition, 5 partial scholarships were awarded for the Master's degree to professionals selected for their merit and opinion established by the Evaluation Commission. Among those selected are Carro Gabriela Verónica, Gómez Lund Oscar Horacio, López Pacholczak Facundo, Rosell Alicia and Zuzel Paula Yamila.

In total, the IECS has awarded more than 120 partial scholarships, providing the opportunity to health professionals and from various disciplines such as Social, Economic or Exact Sciences, who work in public institutions in Argentina, to continue their training to serve as decision-makers in different health organizations, both in the public and private spheres. , at the national, regional and global level.

Furthermore, the Institute awarded 8 scholarships for regular courses in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) during the first semester of 2024, aimed at both professionals from institutions belonging to the HTA consortium and RedETSA member institutions. 

The training opportunities offered by the IECS demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development, both locally and globally. These initiatives reflect the institution's dedication to excellence in research and training, thus driving the continuous improvement of public health.
