Summary:

This project aims to create a community of practice (CP) for the promotion of healthy, equitable, inclusive and sustainable food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The CP proposes a space for collaborative learning and the exchange of quality information between different individuals, groups and organizations involved with research and/or political advocacy - including policy makers, academic researchers and civil society - in order to provide new forms of participation and networking, and strengthen international cooperation in promoting healthier food systems and the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This CP seeks to provide research and health promotion tools, as well as strengthen regional capacities, improve regional collaboration and develop strategic directions in food systems, through the establishment of reference centers (hubs) on topics relevant to health. public, promoting the incorporation of a gender perspective in both research and dissemination and advocacy activities.
