Objective
Identify knowledge gaps and research priorities in mental health of older adults in Argentina, with the aim of contributing rigorous information to decision makers in charge of establishing the research agenda and optimizing the use of resources.
Summary
This study includes a mixed, qualitative and quantitative approach, in three phases or stages that: 1) Situation diagnosis, 2) Needs assessment and finally 3) a prioritization exercise based on the matrix of combined strategies for Argentina (MECA). This tool has been validated and adapted in 2006 for use in Argentina, in other thematic areas.
