Annual survey on resources in the provision of Pediatric Palliative Care in public health institutions of the Argentine Republic (EACPP)
Period: 2015-2016
Researchers
Verónica Dussel, María Laura Requena
Objectives
Monitor available resources to provide Pediatric Palliative Care (PPC) to children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years of age with life-threatening and/or life-limiting illnesses (LEA) who are treated in public health institutions in Argentina to evaluate and establish standards in around CPP clinical practices.
Summary
The Annual Survey is one of the tools developed by CII-CP within a series of registration instruments (ReCuPPeRa, CPP Providers Database, Survey of Clinical Pharmacies, etc.) that were intended as strategic for the development of a CPP information system that will allow us to have reliable and quality data to monitor the status and evolution of CPPs in the different public institutions of the country. It is expected that the development of tools for recording, evaluating and measuring the quality of care will favor the standardization of clinical practices and consensus on care objectives within institutions; and, in turn, allows solid comparisons to be made between different health institutions.
