Objective

To evaluate whether the adaptation and scaling of a program to strengthen the care of people with diabetes at the first level of care improves the quality of care that these people receive in primary health care centers in three Argentine provinces. 12 months after its implementation.

Summary

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the scaling and adaptation of a Program aimed at people with diabetes, which includes the training of the primary health care team and national and provincial teams that work on chronic diseases to improve care and education of people with diabetes, the incorporation of an electronic registry that allows people with diabetes to be identified and tracked, and the sending of educational text messages to people with diabetes who are cared for in Primary Care Centers. Based on a similar experience carried out in another province of Argentina, the results obtained reflected that this program allowed us to improve the quality of care received by people with Diabetes, so we are now proposing to scale it and adapt it to this province.

Likewise, it will be evaluated whether the incorporation of social networks (Facebook, Instagram) for members of health teams at the first level of care improves communication and exchange of information and facilitates distance education for health teams for care. and education of people with diabetes.
