Objective

To generate a comprehensive characterization of calcium intake and deficiency worldwide, analyzing its distribution by country, the associated disease burden, and the supplementation and intervention strategies implemented in different contexts. This will involve systematic reviews of the available evidence and data analyses to integrate and update existing information, serving as the basis for developing a global map of the calcium situation. Furthermore, the results obtained will be used to prepare scientific manuscripts in collaboration with the team at The New York Academy of Sciences.
