Clinical research today faces the challenge of combining scientific rigor, efficiency, and scalability. in increasingly complex and global contextsIn that scenario, the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) presents the Academic Research Organization ARO IECS: a methodological, analytical, digital and coordination support hub designed to strengthen every stage of clinical and research studies in implementation.
The proposal integrates professionals specializing in project management, biostatistics, data analysis, data management, data visualization, information technologies and artificial intelligence, regulation and monitoring of studies.
Through this multidisciplinary approach, the IECS Research Area can support research from beginning to end or intervene at specific points, depending on the needs of each project. This model promotes technical consistency, operational efficiency, and compliance with international quality standards and good clinical practices.
The ARO IECS emerges as a natural evolution of the capabilities already installed in the Statistics, Data Management and Information Systems Unit From the IECS, it coordinates established technical and scientific capabilities to promote high-quality research with regional and international reach. This trajectory is based on collaborative work with leading organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the Burnet Institute, Tulane University, the National University of San Martín, the Infant Foundation, and Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, among others.
In these projects, the team has played key roles as a data coordinating center, providing support from the generation of the idea and the research protocol, to the development and implementation of data capture and management systems, monitoring strategies, advanced statistical analysis and digital solutions adapted to diverse environments.
As a strategic partner, ARO IECS has a strong track record in clinical research across diverse contexts and offers a flexible and cost-efficient operating model. With the institutional backing of IECS, it is positioned as a key platform for advancing clinical research from Latin America to the world, contributing to the generation of relevant evidence for healthcare decision-making.
