Adolfo Rubinstein
Adolfo Rubinstein is a doctor who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), has a master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the School of Public Health at Harvard University (in Boston, United States), and has a diploma in Health Economics in the University of York (in York, United Kingdom) and a doctor in Public Health from the UBA.
He currently directs the Center for Implementation and Innovation in Health Policies (CIIPS) of the IECS, regular professor of Public Health, independent researcher of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina (CONICET) and visiting professor of the Bernard Lown Program of Cardiovascular Health (The Bernard Lown Scholars in Cardiovascular Health Program) at the Harvard THChan School of Public Health.
He has extensive academic and management experience. In February 2017, he was appointed Secretary of Health Promotion, Prevention and Risk Control of the Ministry of Health of the Nation and from November 2017 to December 2019, he assumed the position of Minister of Health of the Nation, then Secretary of the Government. of Health of the Nation.
He was founder and head of the Family and Community Medicine Service of the Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires between 1989 and 2010. He was also founder and general director of the IECS until February 2017.
With more than 120 publications in international and national journals, he has stood out in epidemiology, primary care, and health and economic impact evaluations of public programs and policies. His career spans both academia and management in the health field.
