Álvaro Ciganda holds a degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Universitario Autónomo del Sur and a master's degree in Data Science from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Since 2013, he has worked as IT support and data manager in the Statistics, Data Management and Information Systems Unit of the Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS).

Use programming languages ​​such as R, PHP and Java Script, among others. His experience in web development and databases contributes to his participation in multidisciplinary teams for the preparation of forms and data collection processes, the implementation of data entry software (OpenClinica and REDCap) and websites to report project progress. , and database maintenance, consolidation and reporting.
