María Eugenia Teijeiro is a doctor from the Universidad Austral, a Master in Health Economics and Pharmaceutical Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University, and a specialist in Management of Health Institutions, Universidad Austral. Currently, she works as an associate researcher in the Quality and Patient Safety department of the IECS, in the area of ​​Value-Based Health among other activities.
She has experience in quality management and patient safety in the hospital and rehabilitation sectors, also in the management of medical services, as coordinator of outpatient pediatrics service (Fleni Escobar), Coord. of quality management at the Austral hospital (2008-2015), head of Quality and accreditations Fleni Escobar (20015-2021). Leader of the International Quality Accreditation chapter by Joint Commission at Hospital Austral, and coordinator. From CARF accreditation at the Fleni Escobar Rehabilitation Institute. She also has consulting experience for the implementation of care safety and clinical management programs, and accreditations (JCI, CARF).
