Paula Vázquez is a pediatrician trained at the Juan P. Garrahan Hospital (UBA), holds a diploma in online education and multiplatform virtual environments (FLACSO), and holds a doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
She is currently a researcher in the Department of Maternal and Child Health Research at the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS). She is a professor of Epidemiology at the National University of La Matanza (UNLaM) and a lecturer in the Master's Program in Clinical Effectiveness (IECS - UBA).
Her research addresses maternal and perinatal health issues, with studies conducted both nationally and internationally in collaboration with Tulane University, Harvard University, and various provincial health ministries in Argentina. In the academic field, she contributes to the training of health professionals in applied research methodologies, with a special emphasis on the design and conduct of clinical trials.
