Viviana Rodríguez is a doctor from the National University of La Plata (UNLP) and a doctor of Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She is a certified professional in Patient Safety by the National Patient Safety Foundation (United States) and by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), United States, certified in Infection Prevention and Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, an expert in International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), certified in Global Health Innovation (Imperial College of London).
Currently, she works as coordinator of the Department of Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Management of the IECS.
He was a national member of the Commission on Health System Quality (Lancet Global Health) and of the operational group of the Goodbye Bacteremias and Goodbye Neumonias campaigns, Latin American initiatives to reduce these events in critical care units.
He has experience in Prevention and Control of Infections, management of clinical services as head of the Infectious Diseases service, management of Patient Safety and International Accreditation by the Joint Commission at the German Hospital of Buenos Aires. Also in design and implementation of multicenter collaborative initiatives on health care safety topics, epidemiological research and implementation research, consulting for the implementation of care safety programs and clinical management, implementation of teamwork strategies under the TeamSTEPPS model (Master Trainer in Team Stepps from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). He teaches the Master's Degree in Clinical Effectiveness at the UBA, the Master's Degree in Infection Prevention and Control at the Universidad Austral, and the Institute for Healthcare.
