Open Webinar: Professionalizing Research Management in Latin America and the Caribbean

Efficient management of research funds and projects is a key component for boosting knowledge production and its impact on health policies. In this context, the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) invites you to the free, open webinar “Professionalizing Research Management in Latin America and the Caribbean,” which will take place on Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:30 a.m. (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

This webinar will bring together specialists from different countries to reflect on the challenges and opportunities in health research management in the region. Drawing on contrasting experiences and complementary approaches, the meeting will seek to identify best practices, key capabilities, and lines of action that will strengthen collaboration among institutions that manage health research and development funds.

The meeting is being held within the framework of the Bridge to Excellence Grants & Research Management Community of Practice, a regional initiative aimed at strengthening research fund management capacities in Latin America. Bridge seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences, resources, and best practices among professionals who manage research funds in academic, scientific, health, and non-governmental institutions, with a special focus on health research.

In addition, the official launch of the space that houses the Community of Practice will take place during the activity, designed to promote interaction, joint learning and articulation among professionals from all over the region interested in the management of funds and research projects.
