In the context of International Women's Day, on Tuesday, March 10, from 12 to 13 p.m. (Argentina), the Center for Implementation and Innovation in Health Policies (CIIPS) of the Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) is organizing the webinar “From theory to practice: how to conduct research with a gender perspective”, dedicated to a central challenge for public health research: the planned and systematic incorporation of the gender perspective into concrete projects.
The meeting aims to create a space for reflection and analysis on how to integrate a gender perspective into the design, production, and use of health data, with the goal of contributing to the identification and reduction of gaps and inequalities.
Presentation of tools and experiences
During the activity, experiences and findings will be shared. Federal Mortality Visualizer with a Gender Perspective, a tool developed by the CIIPS team to facilitate the analysis of inequalities in mortality patterns in Argentina.
This project is part of the program Data for Health, driven by Bloomberg Philanthropies and Vital Strategies, aimed at strengthening the quality, availability and strategic use of data for public health decision-making in 22 countries.
The webinar will feature researchers from the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico, who will present their experience in analyzing and visualizing health surveys from a gender perspective.
Also, the experience of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Health for Latin America and the Caribbean (CLIAS) will be shared, an initiative that supports projects aimed at vulnerable populations with a gender focus, which, through artificial intelligence tools, seek to improve access to and quality of health services.
The activity will also include the participation of Women in Global Health, through its Global Chair, providing a global perspective on leadership, equity and gender in the field of health.
