In the coming months, we will be launching the Bridge to Excellence Grants & Research Management Community of Practice.
Empowering Grants Management
Bridge will be a collaborative platform that allows those who have to perform grant management functions to share knowledge, best practices, tools, and experiences to strengthen fund management and support efficiency in the management of NIAID/NIH grants.
Bridge Objectives and Activities
To strengthen grant management, Bridge will focus on:
- Exchange of Best Practices: Connecting members in an active network where sharing experiences, solving common problems, and identifying opportunities for collaboration in the region will be encouraged.
- Ongoing Training: Conduct webinars and knowledge-sharing sessions to help members stay current on best practices, innovations, and challenges in grant management.
- Knowledge Repository: Establish a digital repository to store and share relevant documents, tools, and resources to grant managers. This space will serve as a continuously accessible library for Bridge members.
- Discussion and Consultation Spaces: Create working groups and forums where members can discuss specific topics, share experiences, and receive advice from colleagues on complex cases.
Bridge Structure
- Quarterly Webinars: Virtual meetings to discuss and deepen topics of common interest among members.
- Quarterly Peer Consulting Sessions: Mentoring sessions among members to solve specific challenges and doubts in grants management.
- GACoP Annual Meeting: Main meeting of the community where progress will be reviewed, new initiatives will be proposed, and objectives for the following year will be established.
